Isspro's 100-1500 degree Pyrometer features a white face, red pointer, and the numbers on the face light up green at night. It's a great match for 2003 and up Dodge trucks and 2005 and up Ford trucks. This gauge comes with the signal amplifier only. The thermocouple and leadwire are sold separately and can be selected as a package from the drop down menu above.
 
Why do you need gauges? The OEM's try and keep the costs of their vehicles down, and that means that they skimp in some areas. As you can see every time you look at your dash, you don't really have a full set of gauges. Most over-the-road trucks have EGT gauges, boost gauges, Cylinder Head Temp gauges, and a host of other parameters they can monitor. Why should you be without this important information? If you've done any modifications to your truck, you will want to invest in a good set of gauges. Even if your truck is completely stock, you can still exceed some of the limits of your truck. Have you ever made a long pull up a hill and then had to pull off at a rest area? What is your EGT? If you shut down as soon as you stop, your red-hot turbo will not have any time to cool down. You'll end up cooking the lubricating coating of oil that is left on the bushings or bearings when you shut down with a hot turbo leaving a nice coating of sludge that shortens the life of your turbo. With an EGT gauge, you can watch the turbo cool down and prevent damage by shutting down when the temps are safe.
 
With a boost gauge, you can monitor your boost pressures. If you start to lose power, you can see immediately if it's a boost leak or not. If it is, it might be as simple as tightening a boost clamp. This could save you a trip to the dealer or expensive diagnostics in an unfamiliar area while on a road trip.
 
Having a transmission temp gauge is almost a necessity. If your fluid temps get too high, you reduce the life of your fluid by thousands of miles! Without a gauge, how will you know if your temps are in a safe range while you idle in traffic on a hot summer day? How hot does your fluid get on a long climb with the 5th wheel behind?
 
A fuel pressure gauge can tell you if your lift pump has gone bad and your injection pump is the only thing pulling fuel out of your tank. If you don't notice your fuel pressure is low, you are greatly reducing the life of your injection pump, which is much more expensive to replace than your lift pump.
 
The point of gauges is to prevent damage to your truck before it happens. If you know what everything is doing, you can better determine what the problem is when something goes wrong.
