How to remove the dash bezel on an '06 and newer Dodge Ram.

This procedure applies only to the Dodge Ram with the split bench seats and the floor mounted cup holders.  It does not fully apply to trucks with the bucket seats and floor length console.

Cupholders with rubber liners removed Remove the rubber liner from the cupholders and the plastic tray from the drivers side of the console if you don't have the manual transfer case shifter.  Squeeze the sides of the plastic tray to remove.  There are 3 screws to remove to get the floor console off.
The other half of the floor console is behind the shift lever Slightly lift up and pull the console to the rear of the truck.  The console will separate from the forward floor console.
Remove the shift boot Remove the shift boot by pushing the base of the boot forward to release the clips.  There are 2 screws at the very front of the floor console  and one at the rear that need to be removed.  The forward half of the floor console pulls toward the rear of the truck and out over the shift lever.
The vertical trim piece in front of the shift lever pulls down and out and is sometimes difficult to remove.  (This pic shows the forward part of the floor console still in place.  We actually removed it in the last step) There may be an accent light attached to this piece and you will have to remove the plug from the light.
There are 2 hidden screws under the front edge of the dash bezel.  They are hidden from view by the vertical trim piece in front of the shift lever.  Look up from below and you will see these phillips screws.  Remove them.
To remove the dash bezel, turn the vents to one side and grab the bezel and firmly but carefully pull the bezel straight out.  There are clips all around it and they won't come out all at once.  Slowly work your way around the bezel and pull it out.  There are wiring connections on the back that need to be disconnected.  They are all different so they don't need to be marked.  They can only go back together one way.  While you are working on the connections, be careful not to let the back side of the bezel scratch your dash.  it scratches easily!
